Overview

The Cochlear Implant Program at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital provides cochlear implant evaluation, treatment and follow-up care to children with sensorineural hearing loss. A Cochlear Implant (CI) is an electronic device that may be appropriate for children not getting benefit from their hearing aids. Our aim is to give your child the tools and support needed to effectively communicate and understand language. We strive to provide the best possible care for a child and family, to educate other professionals with whom the child may interact and to conduct research into improving outcomes with the technology.
