At the Regional Craniofacial Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, a premier multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists provides consultation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with craniofacial anomalies, as well as education and support for their family members. As part of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, clinicians representing a variety of pediatric subspecialties offer comprehensive management for the full spectrum of anomalies of the head and face including missing or underdeveloped ears and oral clefts.

The mission of the Craniofacial Center is to provide quality specialized team care to children and adolescents with clefts and other congenital and/or acquired craniofacial anomalies.

Available Services include:
• Prenatal consultation and counseling is available when a craniofacial anomaly is detected in utero
• Onsite consultation is available for newborns with craniofacial, cleft lip, cleft palate, velopharyngeal and feeding disorders
• Outreach Program/Mom to Mom is available for parents of children whose craniofacial anomalies were treated at the center and are matched with parents of children born with similar conditions
• Plagiocephaly/Craniosynostosis Program includes neurosurgical, craniofacial and cranial molding consults and interventions
• Auricular Reconstruction Team (ART) services provided to children born with microtia; surgical, prosthetic and hearing consultation and reconstructive interventions available

The Regional Craniofacial Center meets and exceeds standards set by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association for designation
as a Craniofacial Team. The team is also a member of the New Jersey Federation of Cleft-Palate Craniofacial Teams and is funded in part by the Special Child Health Services Division of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Special Child Health and Early Intervention Services.
