Our World, The Palestroni Center for Genetic Conditions The Palestroni Center for Genetic Conditions at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital provides consultation and treatment services for children with structural birth defects and complex medical conditions. We create a medical home for patients and their families by providing unified care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The Center’s multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of subspecialists available at St. Joseph’s Health, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Genetics, Neonatology, Craniofacial, Audiology, Cardiovascular Services, Orthopedics, Neurology, Feeding and Swallowing, Dental/Maxillofacial, ENT, Physical Medicine, Developmental specialists, Ophthalmology services, Gastrointestinal, Pulmonology, Endocrinology services, Pastoral Care, Nutritionists, Nursing and Social Work. Multidisciplinary Specialty Clinics provide coordinated care for patients with specific genetic conditions with many specialty providers being available to see the patients on one day. There is also the opportunity for the patients to interact with each other to provide support. Patients and families can expect that our team will provide individualized care, education, consultation, diagnosis and treatment that is consistent with their family’s needs.
